This model brings oil-immersion work (Gram-stained bacteria, blood smears, chromosome detail) to benches where a single eyepiece is preferred, for example in school labs where the teacher uses the eyepiece pointer to show each student the same structure. Find the area at 4x, centre it with the X-Y controls, move through 10x and S40x, then add a drop of immersion oil and rotate in the S100x objective, focusing only with the fine control.
Fine focus moves 12.5 µm per graduation and 2.5 mm per full turn, and the adjustable rack stop limits upward travel to protect slides and the spring-loaded high-power objectives. At 100x, raise the helicoidal Abbe condenser (N.A. 1.25) close to the slide and open the iris diaphragm for the brightest, sharpest image. Because the LED and power supply are built in and battery-driven, the microscope can be used on any bench and recharged afterwards.
Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited supplies this 1000x monocular microscope under the ScienceLab name from Ambala, Haryana. Schools, colleges, training centres, NGOs, dealers and importers in India and international markets choose it where oil-immersion work is needed but a binocular head is not essential. See the ScienceLab company profile for more.

Can the Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination be used without mains power?
Yes. The Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination has 1 W LED cordless illumination with an integrated power supply and rechargeable batteries, charged through an external 100–240 V AC mains/charger adapter. Once charged, it can be used on any bench without a cable.
Which objectives are fitted to the monocular 1000x microscope?
The Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination has four achromatic objectives, 4x, 10x, S40x and S100x oil, on a revolving nosepiece with ball bearings. The S40x and S100x objectives are spring loaded so they retract if pressed against a slide.
What stage does the Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination have?
The Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination has a plain mechanical 123 x 119 mm stage with 70 x 27 mm X-Y travel and two non-removable object clamps. The clamps cannot be misplaced, and the X-Y controls allow systematic scanning of smears at high power.
Does the eyepiece have a pointer?
Yes. The Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination uses a wide field WF 10x/18 mm eyepiece with a pointer, on a head inclined at 45° that rotates 360°. Teachers can use the pointer to mark a structure before students take their turn.
Is immersion oil supplied with the microscope?
Immersion oil is not listed among the items supplied with the Monocular Microscope, 1000x, LED Illumination. Order it separately, because the S100x objective needs a drop of oil between the cover slip and the front lens to give a clear image.
