What Is the 5 m Retractable Tape Measure Used For?

PE teachers and referees use this tape to set out pitch markings, check distances for standing jumps and short throws, and space cones, corner flags and start lines evenly. For distances longer than 5 m, measure in stages and mark the end of each stage with chalk before moving the tape on.

To measure, pull the tape out to the required length and push the locking mechanism down to hold it in place. To wind it up, push the lock up and the tape retracts automatically; guide the end with your hand so it does not snap back against the case. The red 10 cm marks make quick readings easier when you are working outdoors.
