The Magnets Kit (Product Code: SLE/EAM/39) is a small-group magnetism experiment kit that helps students discover how magnetic force behaves through their own investigations. Working from the included Teacher's Guide, a group of up to five students sorts materials into magnetic and non-magnetic, finds out what attracts and what repels, tests whether magnetic force passes through solids, and watches how a compass responds to a magnetic field. Primary and middle school science teachers use it for inquiry-based lessons, and it is made by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), Ambala.
| Parameter | Detail |
|---|---|
| Type | Student magnetism experiment kit |
| Experiments covered | Classifying magnetic and non-magnetic materials; attraction and repulsion; magnetic force through solids; how compasses react to a magnetic field; and more |
| Supplied as | Teacher's Guide plus material for five students |
| Suitable for | School science lessons on magnetism, group work and demonstrations |
A typical lesson begins with prediction: students guess which everyday objects a magnet will pick up, then test them and record the results in two columns. They go on to bring magnet ends together to feel attraction and repulsion, and to place sheets of paper, card or thin wood between a magnet and a paper clip to see that magnetic force acts through many solids. Bringing a magnet near a compass and watching the needle swing links the idea of a magnetic field to navigation.
Because the material is sized for five students, one kit serves a single working group; teachers usually buy several so a whole class can rotate through the same investigation. As a science kit for students it encourages careful observation and fair testing. Keep magnets away from phones, cards and the compass when stored, and return them to their packing after each lesson so their strength is preserved.
This kit is made under the ScienceLab name by Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited of Ambala, Haryana, a company producing physics, electricity and magnetism apparatus for education. Its equipment reaches schools and colleges in India and international markets; see the company profile for more.

How many students can use one kit?
The kit contains material for five students together with a Teacher's Guide. For a full class, order one kit per group of five.
Which magnets and materials are included?
Our listing describes the experiments rather than an itemised parts list. Ask us through the contact page for the current contents before you order.
Is a teacher's guide provided?
Yes. A Teacher's Guide is included to help plan the investigations on classification, attraction and repulsion, force through solids and compass behaviour.
How should the magnets be stored?
Store them in their packing, away from electronic devices, bank cards and compasses, and avoid dropping them, as knocks can weaken or chip magnets.
Is there a warranty?
Warranty terms are given with each quotation; please ask us for the terms that apply to your order.
What should a school or institutional quotation include?
The product code SLE/EAM/39, the number of kits (usually one per group of five students), the delivery address and any other magnetism items required. We quote for customers in India and international markets.
For pricing on the Magnets Kit, contact us via the contact page or place it in the enquiry cart with any compasses or bar magnets you need.
