Mini Science Kit – Friction and Force (Product Code: SLE/CH/160) gives pupils a practical route into forces they meet every day: friction between surfaces, the upward push of water and the drag of air. Activities cover reading forcemeters, testing which surfaces let objects slide, weighing objects in air and in water, spinners, shapes moving through water and the fall of a parachute. It is made by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), Ambala, India, as a force and motion experiment kit for school science lessons.

Activities performed with this kit:
Teachers usually open with forcemeter practice, because every later activity depends on reading a scale accurately. Pupils then drag the same object across different surfaces and compare the pull needed, discovering that rough surfaces create more friction than smooth ones. Weighing an object first in air and then while it hangs in water shows that the reading drops – the water pushes up on it. The shapes-in-water activity asks which shapes move through water most easily, a good lead-in to why boats and fish are streamlined.
Spinners and parachutes move the focus to air resistance. Groups drop them from the same height, time the fall and change one feature, such as canopy size, to see the effect. As a friction experiment kit for school science, it rewards careful fair testing: repeat each measurement, keep the same object and height, and record results in a table. Dry any items that have been in water before packing them away.
Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited makes this forces kit at Ambala in Haryana and sells it under its ScienceLab trading name to schools and colleges. Find out more in our company profile.

Does the kit come with forcemeters?
The packing list is not published on this page, so please confirm the contents with us via the contact page. Forcemeters can also be ordered separately.
How should pupils read a forcemeter?
Hold it vertically, check that it reads zero before hanging anything on it, let the pointer settle and read the scale at eye level.
What does weighing in water demonstrate?
That water pushes upward on an object (upthrust), so the forcemeter shows a smaller reading than in air.
What links the spinner and parachute activities?
Both show air resistance slowing a falling object; changing their size or shape changes how long they take to land.
How do we keep the kit in good condition?
Do not stretch forcemeters beyond their scale, dry everything used in water, and store parachute canopies loosely so they do not tangle.
Can you quote for several schools or export orders?
Yes. We supply India and international markets; list the quantity for each delivery address in your enquiry.
