Because the figures can be read from both sides, the clinician can take the reading from behind the patient, or the patient can watch it, whichever the clinic prefers.
This model has no height rod, so pair it with a separate measuring board when body mass index is needed. For consistent results over months of use, schedule periodic lab equipment calibration checks against known reference masses and adjust with the calibration screw if the zero drifts.
