Typical Use
Instructors usually trace the air path first: from the air dryer and air tank, through the pressure regulator, check valves and quick release valve, to the single and double brake chambers at the wheels. Students then press the brake pedal and operate the parking brake valve while watching the air pressure gauge, so the link between pedal effort, line pressure and chamber movement becomes visible. With the wheel motors running at a controlled speed, the ABS pulse ring, ECU and PCV modulator can be studied as a working loop rather than as separate parts.
The check terminal on the control panel is where the electrical exercises happen — output voltage and ABS modulator resistance are measured there with a multimeter, and the ABS waveform is captured with an oscilloscope. As TVET lab equipment for heavy-vehicle programmes, it suits practical assessment: a trainee can be asked to complete a disconnected brake air line and prove the circuit works.
