What Is the Dead Weight Pressure Gauge Calibrator Used For?
The calibrator shows students the most direct definition of pressure: force divided by area. Masses placed on the piston set the target pressure, the capstan-operated ram raises the system pressure until the piston floats, and the flotation indicator on the top plate removes the guesswork about when that balance is reached.
