What Is the Tile Abrasion Tester Used For?
Floor tiles in corridors, factories and public buildings must resist the scouring of grit carried on shoes and wheels, and this machine reproduces that wear in a controlled way. The tile is clamped in the bracket, loaded through the counter-balanced lever with the 7.5 kg weight, and pressed onto the grinding path while abrasive powder is fed through the funnel. The counter is preset so the disc stops after the required number of revolutions.
Wear is found by measuring the tile's thickness before and after the run with a thickness gauge, which you add separately.
