What Is the Volleyball Net Used For?
The net is stretched between two posts across the centre line of a court, with the steel cable in the headband taking the tension so the upper edge stays straight. PE teachers use it to teach serving, digging, setting and blocking, to run class matches and house tournaments, and to play simpler lead-up games in which younger pupils throw and catch a light ball over the net.
