What Is the Spot Welding Machine Used For?
Resistance spot welding clamps two or more overlapping sheets between copper-alloy electrodes and passes a high current through them. The heat generated at the contact point melts a small nugget that fuses the sheets without filler wire or gas. It is the standard way to assemble panels, enclosures, brackets, cabinets and wire products, and projection welding extends the same idea to parts with raised projections.
