What Is the Water Sampler Used For?
Surface water alone rarely tells the full story of a pond or lake. With this sampler, students collect water from the surface, the middle and near the bottom of the same site, then compare temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and the small organisms present at each depth. Lower the sampler on its line to the chosen depth, trigger the collection, then raise it steadily and pour the water into clean, labelled bottles.
